I would like to mention my opinion after almost 10 months in the iLive. In the past months many things have changed, we have beautiful community areas and a great garden with chickens. The gym has opened and I really like our Flohmarkt group were we can sell or give away things we don't need anymore. My favorite aspect in the iLive are our community managers Isabel and Rabea, they take time to answer questions and support us also when we have suggestions (realistic ones). Is everything perfect, no, can we improve, always. I like the Motto "talk to one another not about one another", it is a big house but I think we can make this concept work. Sometimes you need to take one step back to take three up front again. Thanks

ilive's reply is just so ilive...When tenants reported issues, did you immediately take actions? No, even if we continued reporting, you ignored our reports on purpose for WEEKS. So please don’t imply that our complaints were due to the professionals not "immediately on site". I had a same situation with another German company before, but no reminder fee, no fee. And their Rücklastschriftgebühr was less than half of what you charged. So, your normal procedure might be very different from the normal procedures of many other companies. Replies to other reviews also blablabla…so toxic and unbelievable. P.S. Faking reviews is illegal, no matter you received benefits from iLive or not. Both you and iLive could be charged for misleading consumers under civil law or even for fraud under criminal law. ————————— Without a doubt, 0 star. My past year living at ilive was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. It's not that ilive itself has so intolerable terrible conditions, but considering the high price (we can't enjoy the discounted public university rates but have to pay the full price), the items promised in the contract, and how ilive deals with its tenants and their problems, you’ll realize that the living experience doesn’t even compare to much cheaper places. I moved in in October 2023, and at that time, the trash area hadn’t finished building yet. For an entire semester, there was a "temporary" garbage dump outside my window since the second week after my moving-in, with trash strewn everywhere by misbehaving people and the wind. Whether during the contract signing or the room viewing, I couldn't have anticipated this "temporary" garbage dump. Every day I had to enjoy this garbage view, if I had’t, then it'd be an abnormal day. If it weren’t for the cold winter, I can’t imagine how my room would have smelled. But ilive refused to move us to other rooms. By the second semester, the trash area was finally ready, but due to inherent design flaws, normal trash items like cardboards couldn't even fit in the bins. Again, the area outside my window became a "temporary" garbage dump. It seems that this will never be temporary. I highly suggest that the employees of iLive especially the management team live in those rooms. As for other issues, you can refer to other reviews. Some problems, like internet, package, and washing machines, affect all residents more or less, while others, like hot water, noise, and "temporary" trash area, only affect some “unlucky” tenants. But no matter what the issue is, you have to repeatedly and tirelessly fight for your rights, so your problems may be solved, e.g. we had to report the hot water issue countless times before ilive finally sent someone to fix it. During this time, tenants who didn’t face this issue even accused us of making a fuss: “Why are you only complaining instead of coming up with solutions?” Haha, if you are comfortable paying expensive rent and taking on all the responsibilities of the landlord, then ilive welcomes you. ilive will happily charge you without hesitation. One time, when they deducted rent from my account, there wasn't enough money, so the payment failed. And I received a bill from ilive: Rücklastschriftgebühr 8 euros and zusätzliche Gebühr 2.50 euros. Yes, “zusätzliche Gebühr”, they didn’t even bother to give this charge a proper name. If you think these are just small amounts and thus not worth mentioning, I suggest you take a look at reviews about the deposit. Hopefully you'll be lucky enough not to encounter any "big money" issues. So, if you’re willing to bear extra financial and time costs, and mental stress from ilive and other ignorant tenants, while sharpening your rental law knowledge, then ilive is your ideal choice. Even if you see the FS logo on the ilive building, and read on the FS website: “Die Frankfurt School bietet ihren Studierenden als Alternative zum öffentlichen Wohnungsmarkt ein Wohnheim in unmittelbarer Nähe des Campus an ("iLive"),” you will most likely be told that you should go back to ilive customer services...dead end...
