Great place !! We stayed there a couple of days to visit Dusseldorf and the area. Very friendy staff, helpful and responding very well to any query by email. The rooms are spacious, nicely refurbished, clean and cosy with confy beds. The bathrooms are functional but would deserve a bit of an update to make that hotel a no-brainer for that price. The breakfast is a must have, generous, varied, with good local products, fresh bread, fruits, cheese, cold meats, etc... We also liked the self check-in system to have more freedom when arriving and leaving. We'll definitely come back next time we're in Dusseldorf.

I used to be a regular guest at this hotel for c. two years. The location for me is perfect and the staff is really friendly. Breakfast is good. Those are the reasons I've been always relaxed with the shortcomings, which are: - Their website's booking tool repeatedly did not work, which was in particular difficult when the really nice booking agent (a woman) is out of office: the guy then picking up in her absence is unable or willing to help: "use the website"... Well, I used then booking.com - The state of the rooms is poor. From broken tiles in the bathrooms, scatches on walls, clogged drains or loose sockets, shower wall handles, etc.: There is a huge maintenance backlog - Noise isolation is non-existant: Over the time of my stays, I have been woken up by my room neighbor snoring, "fun times" the couple in another room had, noises from people talking on the hallway and one time I felt like being in the same bathroom as the guy next to me using the toilet. Just the smell was missing. And no, I'm not a light sleeper. - Cleanliness is mediocre quality at best: stained mirrors, toilet paper in the toilet bowl that hasn't been flushed (I guess cleaning leftovers?), and more - There is a bed bug problem: This was the final nail on the coffin: after having reported it once, I now have been bitten again by some bug. The instances happened in different rooms. This is unacceptable. I wish they would improve on this, even if it raises the price a bit. It doesn't make sense to be that cheap while failing on basics.
