higher claim of repair costs for an electric guitar despite having discussed the work at the shop beforehand and despite there being no necessary extension of work in the end; contradicting remarks from the staff on the execution of the repair, in particular claiming to have renewed parts that have been and still are on the guitar (possibly due to some misinformation between staff members); staff even complaining about other customers' repair works, lack of some little details in quality of the repair; lastly not even putting the guitar together, so no possibility of hearing and testing the new electronics when picking it up. PS: I did not get a notification that you responded, but it seems that my feedback was not appreciated. It was also rather short, so let me explain more directly: 1) You can search in your e-mail box for "Er hat alles, auch den Toggleswitch neu verkabelt. Sprich der Aufwand war deutlich über dem, was vor Ort besprochen wurde." The claim was that everything was wired from scratch and the effort or expense was much higher than estimated beforehand. When I came back to pick up my guitar, I realized and pointed out that this was simply not true, because I knew the rest of the circuit, the larger part that stayed intact and did not cause any complications. Another colleague actually realized this obviously false claim and tried to justify the higher price in a different way, but the first colleague did not withdraw his wrong claim. That was the reason why I thought there must have been some miscommunication between the colleagues doing the repair and the customer support or management. 2) I am very well aware that there must be some tolerance in billing such as the 10% or 25% as you mentioned, and that I could not take back my guitar easily without paying exactly what is written on the bill. 25% is actually quite a tight bound, apparently to protect customers from inappropriate claims from sellers or service providers in general. However, since the technical job was completed exactly as discussed, and my guitar did not cause any additional trouble, your claim to have spent much more time than you estimated yourself leaves me only with the option of interpreting your work as lacking efficiency or expertise. I ended up paying the higher price for this as you requested, but you lost more than %50 in customer satisfaction (-2 stars). If you had a valid claim for a higher price or no increase in price at all, I would give at least four stars and would have come several times by now for other projects or to buy stuff. 3) My claim about your colleague complaining about other customers' repairs: It was about possibly having to widen some holes in inexpensive guitars from a certain country which come with small pots. It was not the case with mine, but he used the word "height" like in "height-speech" for such kind of jobs. It shows that the shop does not possess the ability to execute such a drilling or sanding task efficiently so that no complaint from the staff would come up. And you would possibly be making a kid or someone happy who could not afford a more expensive guitar but brings it to your shop to make it better. This attitude further decreased my satisfaction and would count for -1 star by itself. 4) I mentioned YT in the end to point out that the overall quality or efficiency of the work would benchmark worse "even" against demos presented on YT. You failed to appreciate the fact that I brought my guitar to you in the first place, which actually shows that I intended to regard your work more highly. Now I cannot. All in all, it was quite unfortunate that the purely technical part of the work was done as expected, but the interaction and the billing were contaminated with false claims (see 1) and unlucky comments about other work (see 3). I sincerely believe that these observations justify -3 stars and that MJ could benefit from better staff. - Just a fan
